A Platform Proven in Real Field Operations

Fieldmaster.ai grew out of our own field contracting work. These are the operations behind it, and the platform every new app is built on.

The whole process

From the Work Order to Stock, Purchasing and the Client

A maintenance job rarely ends at the work order. Parts come from a store, the store needs restocking, a purchase needs approval, and the client or owner wants to see what was done. Most companies have their own rules for who requests, who approves and who is told.

Fieldmaster.ai runs those steps as one process, built on your rules. The technician requests parts from the job, the storekeeper issues them, and the job shows its materials cost. Purchase requests go through your approval steps, and goods received post to stock. Field, office, clients and vendors each see their part, and the dashboards show all of it.

In practice

One Maintenance Job, Followed Through

How a job runs in the Fieldmaster.ai maintenance app, for planned services and reported faults alike.

  1. Planned or reported

Each asset has a service frequency, and preventive tasks are created when they fall due. Readings from sensors on the equipment feed the plan, and reported faults become jobs in the same workflow.

  2. Scan and record

The technician scans the asset’s barcode, records its status and takes photos. The app reads gauges and meters from a photo.

  3. Describe by voice

One voice note, in the technician’s own language, fills in the cause, the action taken and the materials needed.

  4. Signed off

A supervisor accepts the job or returns it for more work, and the dashboard shows what’s overdue or waiting for parts.

Delivered, not do-it-yourself

We Build It. You Run It.

A ready-made CMMS is a product you set up: you load your assets, write your procedures and plan your schedules in the screens it provides, with the vendor’s onboarding team to help if you want it. That suits many teams well.

With Fieldmaster.ai, we build the maintenance app around your assets, sites and approval steps. Our team imports your asset register and service frequencies, sets up your checklists, roles and sign-off rules, trains your supervisors and field teams, and stays on after go-live. When the process changes, tell us, and the change usually lands in days.

FAQ

Questions About MaintainX and Fieldmaster.ai

Does Fieldmaster.ai handle preventive maintenance and work orders?

Yes. Each asset gets a service frequency, the yearly timetable shows what is planned, and preventive tasks are created when they fall due. Preventive, corrective, emergency and installation jobs all run through the same workflow, and a supervisor accepts each job or returns it for more work.

Can Fieldmaster.ai use readings from sensors on our equipment?

Yes. We integrate with the head-end system your sensors report to, through the integration endpoints you provide. Their readings are captured in the app, and maintenance is planned from them as well as from each asset’s service frequency. Our team has worked with LoRaWAN, Sigfox and other IoT networks. We don’t supply the sensors or any hardware. Gauges without a sensor are read from a technician’s photo.

Can we keep MaintainX for our maintenance work?

Yes. If your work orders and preventive maintenance run well there, keep them. Fieldmaster.ai can take on the process around them, such as approvals, stock, purchasing and invoicing, and connect to other systems through APIs, webhooks and Excel import and export.

Do we pay for every technician?

No. The maintenance app is priced on the number of assets you maintain, not the number of people who use it. Technicians, inspectors, storekeepers, supervisors and helpdesk staff all use it without a seat fee.

How long does it take to switch?

A typical app takes 10 to 18 working days to build. Your asset register and service frequencies are imported from Excel, and you can start with one building or site and add the rest later.

Do technicians need a signal on site?

No. The mobile app works without signal in plant rooms and basements, and in each technician’s own language. It syncs as soon as it reconnects.

Who changes the app when our process changes?

We do. Changes after go-live usually land in days, made by the people who built your app, and support comes directly from them.

Do you work with companies outside the GCC?

Yes. Most of our work so far is in the GCC, and we take on companies in other regions too. The same team builds and supports your app, from Muscat, Ajman and Cochin.
